A beautiful, honey coloured Dordogne stone rental house with secure parking, located in the stunning 'must see' medieval town of Sarlat in the Dordogne; a town of exceptional beauty with it's narrow winding streets, stone roofs and Benedictine Abbey, you will be mesmerised by over 1000 years of art and architecture at every turn. No wonder this is the top film location destination in the France!!

From the rose covered house, with it's superb south facing terrace & pool which is surrounded by a tranquil garden, you will be able to take an easy stroll to the Sarlat centre shops & gourmet restaurants, even a Michelin starred restaurant! Visit the street markets & food hall, or why not indulge in cafe society whilst listening to the musicians or watching the talented street performers. There really is something for everyone here in the Dordogne right on your door step!!

This great Dordogne rental house offers three double & twin bedrooms all with ensuite shower rooms. There is a large rose covered terrace, complete with barbecue, for dining al fresco which overlooks the swimming pool & gardens.

GROUND FLOOR

Full size kitchen for those who wish to profit from the abundance of local grown Dordogne produce, including cepes, truffles, walnuts and foie gras, which are available in the daily local markets.
Living/dining room is spacious with internal stone walls, exposed beams and a log burner for those romantic evenings in front of the fire.
Double bedroom with an ensuite shower room. This room has direct access to the front terrace and gardens and I think, would be suitable for wheelchair access.

FIRST FLOOR

Master Bedroom with beautiful views overlooking the pool and garden. This room has a Kingsize bed and an ensuite shower room. There is an additonal fold out bed or cot that can be added to this room if required.

For your arrival all the beds will be made up with crisp white cotton bed linen and the bathrooms will have white towels provided. You don't even have to worry about pool towels as they are included as well !

GARDEN

The mature garden, which is complete with palm trees, is to the front of the house surrounding the pool and south facing sun terrace, where you will also find sun loungers, parasols and a refreshing poolside shower.

There is ample off road parking to the front of the property with a lockable entrance gate.

Sarlat and the Perigord Noir/Dordogne are renowned the world over. An area of exceptional historic value that has been inhabited by man for over 400,000 years. A big draw has always been the diversity of food on offer, such as the magnificent Cepes, Black Truffles and fabulous Foie Gras and Game. This abundance of epicurean food along with the wonderful climate continue to draw people to this region today.

The beautiful Medieval town of Sarlat, with it's 1000 years of art and architecture, receives over 1,500,000 visitors per year. Many come to experience one of the many Gourmet restaurants in Sarlat, or sit at the street Cafes and watch the world go by; whilst others are drawn by the Film Festival or the Summer Street Theatre.

This central Perigord Noir location, with Sarlat being the jewel in the crown, allows you to visit the nearby attractions very easily, whether it be the world famous prehistoric cave paintings at Lascaux, or the World Heritage Classified Vezere Valley with its many Stone Age relics and caves dating from 20,000 years ago. Maybe, you might like to visit the vineyards of Bergerac and St.Emilion. If you wish to go Hot Air Ballooning as the sun rises over the surrounding castles that can be arranged too. It is all here for you to do whether its drifting down the river in a canoe or eating at a Michelin starred restaurant, we will try our best to arrange it for you - even the sunshine.

There are many festivals, fairs and markets throughout the year. From mid July and throughout August there is a Music and Drama Festival in Sarlat with open air concerts and plays, street entertainment and busking musicians who will amuse and delight you. During the busy summer time there are also numerous Night Markets and Gourmet Feast Days where it is possible to try the food from the region, watch it being cooked before you and then sit and enjoy with a glass of local wine in the open air dining areas. During the autumn and winter months you can visit the Truffle markets and search for the famous Cepe mushrooms which grow in abundance in this fertile region. In the village markets, the fruit and vegetables, nuts, and mushrooms of every description bear witness to the region's self-sufficiency in food.

The English owners, Hamish and Xanthe Eadie, have lived in the area for 8 years and are able to help you arrange a thoroughly enjoyable stay in this wonderful place. However long that may be !!!

RENTAL NOTES

1. A deposit of 30% of the rental cost will be payable to confirm the booking, with the total balance due 8 weeks prior to arrival date.
2. UK sterling cheques, USA dollar cheques and French euros cheque accepted.
3. A security deposit personal cheque for the equivalent of 300 euros in your own currency will be required with the rental balance payment, which is due 8 weeks prior to your arrival. This will be returned to you (less any costs for damage, breakages or cleaning) within 2 weeks of departure.
4. Cancellations must be made in writing.
Up to 90 days before rental start date – total deposit refunded.
Between 60-90 days - 50% deposit refunded
Between 1-60 days – No refund of deposit unless we are able to relet, less any readvertising costs and or promotional offers for late availability.
5.Electricity is included up to 60 kw per week & charged at 15 cents per kw there after.
6.We hope that you have enjoyed your stay in our home, so please leave it as you would expect to find it. We can provide a cleaning service for 50 euros, if preferred.
