La Maison Jevans is a very attractive three bedroom property with a private, secluded pool situated in a beautiful area of the South of France famous for its vineyards, poppies, lavender and sunflower fields. The area is calm and peaceful.
A covered terrace with a built in barbecue overlooks the pool area where you can relax and watch the sun setting over the distant Cevenne mountains.
There is an orchard where seasonal fruits can be enjoyed. The house, garden and orchard are fully enclosed. Table tennis and boules are available for the energetic! Local countryside with its spectacular views is wonderful for walking or cycling.

Travelling South from Lyon to Avignon on autoroute A7, at Bollène go West via Pont-St-Esprit onto the D901. La Maison Jevans is 3klms from Barjac located between the beautiful Ardeche Gorge & Ceze river.
The Mediterranean, Avignon TGV rail station, Montpellier & Nimes airport (serviced by Ryanair) are approx. 1.5hr drive to the South.
The local area
We are situated in a good location for exploring the region, 3 klms from the small medieval town of Barjac in the middle of the Ardeche/Cevenne/Provence triangle. The famous Ardeche Gorge is approximately 25 minutes drive and canoes can be hired both there and on the local Ceze river. There are also many interesting caves in this area. (View www.vallon-pont-darc.com for information on the Ardeche Gorge.) Endless excursions await within a short drive and the Mediterranean is approximately 1.5 hours drive to the South.
Barjac has local shops, its own wine cave and there is a choice of good restaurants. On Fridays there is a colourful and vibrant market selling a variety of goods and local produce.
In the main holiday season many festivals are celebrated and sometimes there is live music and dancing in the open air – very enjoyable on a warm, balmy evening. During this time there is also an evening market once a week which winds through the cobbled streets selling clothes, jewellery, craft items etc.
