The appeal of this unique property is its tranquil location, stunning views and comfortable accommodation. Delightful Negaunee Lake does not allow motorised boats, so if you are looking for peace and quiet this is the place for you! Situated in a mature forest of pine, birch, maple and hemlock, privacy is guaranteed at this lovely location. A stretch of stairways through the treetops with a viewing/resting platform in between, leads down to the natural waterfront area and dock. Left beautifully wild, a small clearing at the bottom of the stairs allows easy access to the long, newly renovated dock. Again, a stunning view of the lake in its natural form is guaranteed in any season. This spot is also great for taking in the morning sun and enjoying the tranquillity of this natural environment. To the back of the cottage is an area of lawn suitable for badminton, volley ball, croquet and there's a choice of chimnea or firepit with surrounding lawn chairs for added evening entertainment. Inside, the cottage is brightly decorated wih attractively coordinated furnishings and décor. Soft plush couches are complemented with a variety of pillows, throw blankets and table lamps . A central woodstove offers additional warmth for those cooler late summer and fall evenings. When the evenings are warmer, two exterior screen doors can be opened for a lovely evening breeze off the lake. The dining and living area are shared, for a constant sunny view of the lake at treetop level. The entertainment centre in a corner with satellite TV, DVD and VCR also has hook-ups for games. The linear kitchen is well equipped and suitable for taking on any fine dining endeavour! All three bedrooms are of a good size. There is a variety of watercraft for enjoying the lake and with plenty of wildlife this is a great location for a nature-based vacation year round.
