Charming Catalan beach cottage on private island in the South of France with magnificent views of the water and Pyrenees and private grassy yard. Can sleep at least 8 comfortably. There are 3 Bedrooms: 1 double bed, 1 with 2 twin beds and 1 with twin bunk beds. Pull-out Sofa sleeps 2 in living room. 2 Full bathrooms with toilets, one with bathtub. The fully equipped kitchenette includes stove, refrigerator and freezer, microwave, coffee maker. One of only 3 cottages on the island with extra large dining and living room.
The cottage is at the edge of the property and looks over the natural park and etang, with views of mainland France. Walk out of the yard to find secluded paths that offer quiet nature walks. Protected natural park has no development, we have unobstructed views from the house. The island is a beach resort, located in a natural Etang. It is just a short walk to Mediterranean Sea. Take a path to reach full amenities on site: 2 pools, gym and spa, laundry, cafe, bakery, market and restaurants. You can bike to near by adventure park or beach towns. You do not need a car while staying here.
Full sports activities at the resort: wind surfing, kayaking, snorkel and scuba. Close to mountain activities: canoyoning, hiking. Built in the style of the Camargue houses, the cottage is picturescque with white stucco sides, decorative thatched roof, large volets. The island is between Perpignan and Narbonne, in the heart of French Catalonia. Spanish culture and heritage sites are nearby. Spanish border is 1/2 hour drive. Visit Barcelona for the day and stay in France at night.
