For people seeking a tranquil setting to decompress, we offer you an oasis where the only sounds you will hear are the grousing of howler monkeys and the symphony of birds. For either vacationer, we will nourish you with our international, organic cuisine. We grow most of the fruits and vegetables on the property and select only the finest fish and produce from local merchants. Vegetarian dishes are available upon request. Homemade breads and juices are made daily. Star Mountain is a mosaic of jungle, rolling hills, mountains, and streams with hiking trails throughout and plateau views of the light sandy beaches of Mal Pais and Santa Teresa. The beach is only 1 mile away downhill and many of Costa Rica’s finest surf breaks are within minutes. The entrance to Cabo Blanco National Park is only 4 miles away, making Star Mountain the perfect launching pad for excursions. Cabo Blanco was the first National Park established in Costa Rica and its 3,000 acres of untouched wildlife is testimony to Costa Rica’s commitment to preserve large tracts of land. Star Mountain may be rented on an exclusive basis by a family or group, with accommodation for up to 20 adults. Rates for special events, such as: outdoor music concerts, movie and commercial productions, modeling shoots, biological, scientific or educational research projects are available upon request.
