Granada Apartment Sleeping 6 - Apartment Rental Listing Details

Description:
About the Apartment..

Our beautiful apartment is fantastically located just 5 miles from the centre of Granada (2 minutes walk to the bus stop that takes you into the centre), and 35 minutes drive round the mountain to the ski lift at Sierra Neveda, so whether you want to enjoy the hustle and bustle and historic monuments of the city, or ski during the day, and then retire to something a little more tranquil, our apartment is perfect.

The apartment is very modern in design, but with Spanish character, such as terocotta tiles and rejas. It has two bedrooms, first family room with kingsize bed and single bed, 2nd family room with 3 single beds.

There is a fully equipped kitchen with built in oven, halogen digital hob, microwave, toaster, kettle, fridgefreezer, coffee maker and a breakfast bar seating 2. It it fully equipped with all the utensils you will need to cook a roast dinner.

The lounge has plenty of seating for 6, TV and DVD, and a large solid dining table with seating for 6 (although it could seat 8).

There is a utility room containing a washing machine and tumble dryer, and the porchway has plenty of room to put skis.

The apartment is in a very small complex, with secure courtyard.

There is plenty of heating, and a combi gas boiler, so the hot water never runs out - ideal for larger families.

We have included the things that are essential for babies, travel cot, booster seat, toys, plastic cutlery and plates, bath mat, microwave and DVD. We have also included the thing we like, such as feather duvets and stainless steel cutlery.

About the Area..

Out apartment is located in a typical working Spanish village, very pretty and full of character. Our apartment is in one of the oldest lanes in the village, full of Spanish folk. You are unlikely to meet another English or US family here!

There are many restuarants and shops all within walking distance, and also there is a large supermaker 2 minute drive (15 minute walk) selling a huge selection of wonderful bread and pastries, meats, fresh fish, wines and beers. This is where the Spanish shop, so you are paying Spanish prices.

The beautiful beaches of the "Costa Tropical" are just 40 minutes away.

About the ski resort..

Fantastic for families, usually very good snow fall with it being the 2nd highest resort in Europe. Very good facilities with many restuarants shops, and very good for beginners or intermediates. There are limited black runs.

Hi Linda and Frenchs all, (September 2005 from US)
Randy and I arrived home Sunday evening and I mailed your keys yesterday (Monday).

Will you please let me know when you receive them?

The apartment was lovely, a wonderful place from which to enjoy Granada and its

environs! We also enjoyed wandering around Monachil. We started a sangria pot and just kept it going the whole week. This made cooking in your very well equipped kitchen even more enjoyable. And, of course, added more romance to the beautiful sunsets over Granada.

The following are our comments, in hopes that they will be useful to you.

Inside the Apartment:
* Very clean upon arrival
* Loved the Ikea furnishings. Did you take the photos?
* The master bed is about as cozy and comfy as a bed can get.
* Instructions for appliances in oven drawer were VERY useful!!! You may want to place them in an even more prominent place - especially for folks from USA, who are not at all used to the way European appliances work.

Family of 5 From Australia - Granada - April 2006
Dear Linda

Returned home on Wednesday 18th and have taken a couple of days to get the feet back on the ground!

We had a great time in Granada and Monachil, The weather was not so kind and it poured rain the morning we were at the Alhambra. However, still thought this was one of the highlights of our trip.

The apartment worked really well for us and we particularly enjoyed the extra space and the opportunity to do some cooking for ourselves. The information, directions and advice you offered was also a real plus.

Unfortunately, the weather meant we did not drive up to the snow - although our eldest pushed for a quick visit! However, the Alhambra, walking around the Albaycin and walking to Monachil (the little village), as well as someshopping and a few coffees up the street (many thanks for your directions)managed to fill in our days very easily.

Maria and I had an interesting time attempting to converse with each
other!!!!! Despite the language barriers, I thought she was delightful andwith my phrase book and much miming, we managed to get our messages across.

She was very welcoming and her warm and friendly nature was a great
introduction. Please let her know that we really appreciated her patience with our poor Spanish and her friendliness.

Thanks for letting us stay in your apartment and particularly for all yourdirections and advice - it was really appreciated. Let us know if you are ever in Melbourne - maybe we can return the favour.

Kind Regards

Sheryl
